HBV DNA Viral Load

Collect blood into the anticoagulant tube specified by the receiving laboratory, mix gently, and separate plasma by centrifugation within the required pre-analytical window. Transfer the plasma into a clean, labelled, leak-proof polypropylene aliquot tube without disturbing the cell layer. Keep the separated specimen refrigerated at 2–8°C for short transport unless the laboratory specifies frozen storage. Place the aliquot in a sealed biohazard bag with absorbent material and avoid unnecessary freeze-thaw cycles. For HBV DNA Viral Load, use packaging and preservation compatible with PCR; if the receiving laboratory supplies a dedicated collection kit, bottle or transport medium, that kit takes precedence over general packaging guidance.
