Urine Protein-Creatinine Ratio (PCR)

Collect a fresh urine specimen into a clean, sterile, leak-proof screw-cap urine container without transferring it from an unsuitable household container. Avoid contamination with faeces, tissue paper, disinfectant or menstrual blood where possible. Cap immediately, place the container in a sealed biohazard specimen bag with absorbent material, and deliver promptly. If transport is delayed, keep the sample refrigerated at 2–8°C unless the receiving laboratory gives different instructions for this specific test.
